The Hampton House Motel

The Hampton House Motel served as a haven for African-American leaders, activists and professional athletes including Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and Muhammad Ali. The Hampton House Motel is currently being restored/preserved and has been designated as a historic site---now called The Historic Hampton House.
